Today the Baltic Sea Trade Union network held its high level meeting with trade union leaders from around the Nordic and Baltic Sea region.

High on the agenda were discussions of Just transition and fundamental rights. Our meeting started with a discussion with the Lithuanian minister of Social Security and labour and finished with an important update from our trade union colleagues working in exile with the free Belarusian trade union movement.

Our regions collaboration is more important than ever in these uncertain geopolitical times. The BASTUN network firmly stands behind our trade union colleagues in Belarus and call for the release of all arrested trade unionists in Belarus and the reinstatement of free trade unions in the country.
